note: first ever attempt at visual poetry. I'm pleased.
i wrote the poetry. i stuck the notes on my mirror, made my mother hold up a white sheet behind me, made sure the notes covered my reflection of private body parts haha, then took the photo of the mirror with my reflection in the background. (Just thought i'd let you know how it was done, some people thought i edited the notes in.)
You should be pleased I think. It's beautifully artisic and a great use of color contrast. The shadow of the figure int he back is great for the composition as it adds depth to the post its and their words.

there are so many cool elements to this piece. i'd like to see more work from you! in the future it would be great to see work that veered away from cliches. i know the concept here is "simple" but you could take the concept of simplicity and express it in a way that conveys simplicity but isn't simple in and of itself...especially in the medium of visual poetry . nice work, though!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
